    Eligibility

    Those eligible to purchase from the Apple Store for Education Individuals include faculty, staff, students and parents as follows:

    K12 - Any employee of a public or private K-12 institution in the United States is eligible. In addition, school board members who are currently serving as elected or appointed members are eligible. PTA or PTO executives currently serving as elected or appointed officers are eligible.

    Higher Education - Faculty and staff of Higher Education institutions; and students attending, or accepted into a Higher Education institution are eligible to purchase. Purchases from the Apple Store for Education Individuals are not for institutional purchase or resale.

    Higher Education Parents - Parents purchasing on behalf of their child, who is a student currently attending or accepted into a public or private Higher Education Institution in the United States, are eligible to purchase.

    Purchase Quantity

    Faculty, Staff and Students purchasing from the Apple Store for Education Individuals will be allowed to purchase the following quantities of product per academic school year. Not all products have special Education Pricing.

    1. Desktop: One (1) may be purchased per academic year
    2. Mac mini: One (1) may be purchased per academic year
    3. Notebook: One (1) may be purchased per academic year
    4. Display: A maximum of two (2) may be purchased per academic year
    5. Software: A maximum of two (2) per software title may be purchased per academic year
    **The above purchases can be made either online, in an Apple Retail Store, or through your Authorized Campus Reseller. Total product quantities remain the same regardless of where your purchase is made.

    Defective Items

    Apple Branded Products If you discover what you believe is a product defect for any Apple branded product please contact AppleCare Technical Support at 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273). Such a defect, if any, is covered under the terms of your product's warranty. Please refer to the warranty information and other support documentation that came with your product. (See Product Warranty section below for specific information about Apple's product warranties.)

    Non-Apple Branded/Third Party Products If you discover what you believe is a product defect for any third-party product please contact the manufacturer directly for information regarding the manufacturers' standard warranties.

    Return & Refund Policy

    If you are not satisfied with your Apple purchase of a product, please visit online Order Status or call 1-800-676-2775 for a Return Material Authorization (RMA).

    For iPhone returns, please refer to the iPhone Return Policy section below. For eligible Mac, iPad, iPod, and third-party products, you have up to 14 calendar days from the time you receive your item(s) to initiate a return. Personalized iPods (e.g., engraved or customized in any way) may not be returned for refund or exchange under any circumstances unless such product is Dead on Arrival (see the section below for more detailed information on such Dead on Arrival products). If the item is returnable and you send it back to us unopened in the original box, Apple will offer you a refund based on your original method of payment. You must return the product to the Apple warehouse within 14 calendar days of the issuance of the RMA. All products must be packed in the original, unmarked packaging including any accessories, manuals, documentation and registration that shipped with the product.

    Please note that Apple does not permit the return of or offer refunds for the following products:

    1. Personalized iPods
    2. Opened memory
    3. Opened software*
    4. Electronic Software Downloads
    5. Software Up-to-Date Program Products (i.e., software upgrade subscription product)
    6. Apple Gift Cards
    7. Apple Gift Packaging (origami style gift box with ribbon and greeting card)
    8. Apple Developer Connection Products (Membership and Technical Support)

    *You may return software after rejecting the licensing terms, provided the software is not installed on a computer. However, software that contains a printed software license may not be returned if the seal or sticker on the software media packaging is broken.

    Note: Apple recommends that you (1) use a carrier that offers shipment tracking for all returns and (2) either insure your package for safe return to Apple or declare the full value of the shipment so that you are completely protected if the shipment is lost or damaged in transit. If you choose not to (1) use a carrier that offers tracking and (2) insure or declare the full value of the product, you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the product during shipping. Please not that the United States Postal Service (USPS) offers limited tracking capabilities and that there is a 30-calendar day waiting period before the USPS will initiate a trace.

    iPhone Return Policy

    If you are not fully satisfied with your iPhone purchase, you can return your undamaged iPhone to the Apple Online Store within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. Please visit online Order Status or call 1-800-676-2775 to request a return. The iPhone must be returned in the original packaging, including any accessories, manuals, and documentation.

    Service Cancellation

    If your iPhone is returned to our warehouse within 30 days from the date of shipment, your wireless service will be cancelled automatically and you will not be charged an early termination fee. You will be responsible for all applicable usage fees, prorated access charges, taxes, surcharges, or other charges through the termination date. Please contact AT&T for more information about applicable fees.

    Dead On Arrival (DOA) Product: System Failure Out of the Box An Apple-branded hardware product is considered DOA if it shows symptoms of a hardware failure preventing basic operability, upon its first use out of the box. If you discover that your product may be DOA please call AppleCare Technical Support at 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273) within 30 days of the invoice date. AppleCare Technical Support will determine if the product is DOA and offer you the following options:

    • Replacement: The same product that was ordered will be shipped to you at Apple's expense. AppleCare Technical Support will put you in touch with an Apple Store Customer Service Representative to set up a replacement order and provide the procedure for returning the DOA product.
    • Service: You may have the product repaired; however, once serviced the product is no longer eligible for replacement. Product must be deemed DOA by AppleCare Technical Support within 30 days of the invoice date in order to receive a replacement unit.

    DOA Terms and Conditions

    • This DOA policy only applies to Apple-branded hardware products currently offered on the Apple Education Store. As new products are offered Apple reserves the right to determine whether or not this policy applies.
    • This DOA policy does not apply to third party products which do not bear the Apple brand name. You may call the manufacturer directly with any third party product issues:
    • Hewlett Packard can be reached at 1-208-323-2551.
    • Epson can be reached at 1-800-463-7766.
    • If the product is deemed DOA by Apple technical support 30 days after the invoice date Apple's standard product warranty will apply.
    • If the product is deemed by Apple technical support NOT to be DOA Apple's standard product warranty will apply.
    • Apple will arrange for shipping at its expense.
    • Apple reserves the right to test returned DOA product. If the condition of the product is misrepresented by the customer, Apple may pursue imposing a fee, for wrongful return, of $400 to the customer.

    Note: If you discover what you believe to be a product defect, outside the above categories, please contact AppleCare Technical Support at 1-800-APL-CARE (1-800-275-2273). Such a defect, if any, is covered under the terms of your product warranty. Please refer to the warranty information and other support documentation that came with your product.

    Returned product must have a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) number written on the shipping label.

    1-Click ®

    1-Click is a registered service mark of amazon.com, Inc., used under license. 1-Click is a convenient feature that allows you to purchase on the Apple Store with a single click of your mouse. You must have a valid Apple ID to activate 1-Click features. To activate your 1-Click features you should follow instructions provided to you. Once you have activated 1-Click features, you simply select the products you wish to purchase and click the "Buy with 1-Click" button. When purchasing products using 1-Click, you will have 90 minutes to change items in your 1-Click order (except for Electronic Software Downloads). By activating 1-Click preferences, you agree with Apple's Sales and Refund Policy. For more details about 1-Click features please see Frequently Asked Questions.

    Electronic Software Downloads

    Using a valid Apple ID, you can select downloadable software products for purchase at the Apple Store. At the time of checkout, we will obtain an authorization from the credit card you have provided the Apple Store. Once credit card authorization has been received, you will receive instructions in the form of a link to begin downloading your software.

    If the transmission is interrupted in any way during download, you can use your Apple ID and password to begin the downloading process again. Once you complete your order, you will receive an Order Acknowledgment email that provides information about your purchase.

    If credit card authorization is not received, you will receive instructions for completing your purchase.

    Please read the product information for Electronic Software Downloads carefully since software download purchases are non-refundable.

    Electronic Software Download Sales Tax Applicable sales tax will be charged for downloadable software purchases where required by local law in the jurisdiction where the purchaser resides.

    QuickTime Pro Keys

    You can purchase the QuickTime Pro Key at the Apple Store using a valid Apple ID. At the time of checkout, we will obtain an authorization from the credit card you provide. If the credit card authorization is approved, you will receive an email notification that includes installation instructions and a Key Code.

    Payment Methods

    Credit Card You may pay by credit card no matter which ordering method you use (Internet or by phone). At the time your order is placed, Apple obtains a pre-approval from the credit card company for the amount of the order. Credit card billing occurs when your order ships.

    The Apple Online Store U.S. accepts American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa credit, debit, or check cards associated with a billing address within the United States and most United States territories. Click here for more information.

    Debit cards and check cards have daily spending limits that may substantially delay the processing of your order.

    Credit Card Security Codes The Apple Store requires the credit card security code for your card for any telephone or online purchase. The credit card security code is an individual three- or four-digit number specific to your credit card that may be printed on the face of your card above the embossed account number (if American Express), or on the back of your card, on the signature panel (if Visa, MasterCard, or Discover). Asking for and confirming your credit card's security code helps validate that you - and only you - are in the possession of your credit card and protects you from unauthorized use of your account.

    Multiple Payment Tenders You may use multiple payment tenders on anything sold by Apple (except another Apple Gift Card, an iTunes Gift Certificate or electronic software download, such as QuickTime Pro). Split payment orders can be made no matter which ordering method you use (Internet or phone). You can pay with two credit cards by indicating the amount to place on your primary card. The remaining balance will be allocated automatically to the second card. You may also use up to four Apple Gift Cards or up to eight Apple Gift Cards with a credit card. A purchase can also be split between a Barclaycard Financing Visa card and another credit card or between a Barclaycard Financing Visa card and up to eight Apple Gift Cards. During checkout, if you are paying with a gift card issued by a credit card company, you can combine it with one credit card.

    Apple Gift Card You can redeem an Apple Gift Card in Apple Retail Stores, from the Apple Online Store, or by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE. Apple Gift Cards can be used only in the United States. You can purchase just about anything sold by Apple (except another Apple Gift Card, an iTunes Gift Certificate or purchases at the iTunes Store), including products from both Apple and third-party makers. In retail stores, simply present the card to the cashier at time of payment. For online or purchases through 1-800-MY-APPLE, enter or provide the 16-digit card number and 8-digit PIN (to be scratched off). Please keep the card in your possession until the order has been processed and delivered. The Apple Gift Card is subject to applicable terms and conditions.

    Financing

    Qualified purchasers may finance all or a portion of their purchases with the Barclaycard Financing Visa card or through Bill Me Later. Not all applicants will qualify for the Barclaycard Financing Visa card or Bill Me Later.

    Cashier's Check or Money Order The Apple Store accepts a cashier's check or money order as a valid form of payment. Personal or business checks are not accepted. If you wish to pay by cashier's check or money order, you may order by phone at 1-800-MY-APPLE. The cashier's check or money order must be payable to Apple Inc. and include your web order # and/or copy of your order. Please mail your payment to:

    Apple must receive your payment within 10 calendar days or your order will be canceled. Please allow 1 business day for order processing after Apple receives your payment.

    Wire Transfer The Apple Store accepts bank wire transfers as a valid form of payment. If you would like to use a wire transfer to pay for your order, please follow these steps:

    1. Contact the Apple Store at 1-800-MY-APPLE (692-7753) and place an order by phone.
    2. Obtain the final dollar total of your order including tax and any applicable shipping charges from the Apple Store Sales Representative.
    3. Have your bank electronically transfer the total dollar amount of your order.

    Sales Tax

    Apple Store purchases will include sales tax based on your shipping address and the sales tax rate in effect at the time your order is billed. If you phone in your order, the Apple Store Sales Representative will provide an estimated dollar total of your order including tax and any applicable shipping charges at the time you place your order. If the sales tax rate for the state to which your order is being shipped changes before the product is shipped, the rate in effect at the time your order is invoiced will apply. The proof of purchase that Apple mails to you will include any applicable sales tax.

    Tax-Exempt Orders

    If your order is being placed on behalf of a tax-exempt organization or individual, please call Apple Store Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775. Please be prepared to provide proof of state tax-exempt status for the state where the product is shipping. The organization or individual name on the order must exactly match the state tax-exempt certificate. Federal tax exemption certificates are not accepted.

    Shipping Options

    Apple offers four convenient shipping options:

    • Standard Shipping: This option is free on all qualifying products. Products shipped via standard service are normally delivered within six business days after shipment.
    • 2-Day Shipping: For an additional charge, Apple offers this expedited shipping option for most products. Products shipped via two-day service prior to 3:00 p.m. Pacific time are normally delivered by 4:30 p.m. local time two business days after shipment.
    • 2-3 Day International Shipping: For an additional charge, Apple offers this expedited shipping option on products shipped from international locations. Products shipped prior to 3:00 p.m. Pacific time are normally delivered by 4:30 p.m. local time within three business days after shipment.
    • Next Business Day Shipping: For an additional charge, Apple offers this expedited shipping option on most of Apple’s products. Products shipped prior to 3:00 p.m. Pacific time via Next Business Day service are normally delivered by 3:00 p.m. local time one business day after shipment. Next Business Day delivery is not available for orders shipping to Alaska and Hawaii.

    Signature is required for delivery: Most of our shipments contain valuable computer equipment. If you will not be at the shipping address to accept delivery of your product, consider shipping the item to an address where someone you trust will be available to sign for your package. Once your order has prepared for shipment or has shipped, we are unable to change the shipping address. Title and risk of loss to all products will pass to you on delivery.

    Undeliverable Packages: Occasionally packages are returned to us as undeliverable. When the carrier returns an undeliverable package to us, please contact us to make arrangements for reshipment.

    Failed Delivery Attempts: Most of our carriers make three attempts to deliver a package. After three delivery attempts, the package will be returned to us.

    Order Processing

    The estimated shipment date on your order is based on product availability, payment processing time, and warehouse processing time and does not include transit time. Payment processing will not begin until we receive all the information we need and full payment or a full authorization, in the case of credit card and lease orders.

    Orders placed on the weekend or on a holiday will begin payment processing the next business day.

    Orders for in-stock items that are eligible for same-day shipping must be received before your local time of 2:00 p.m., pending payment processing. Orders placed on the weekend or on a holiday will begin payment processing the next business day. Unanticipated changes in supply can affect product availability. Please confirm the estimated shipping lead time at the "Review Your Order" page for the most current availability information.

    Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.

    Some of our products are shipped from our international locations. Next Business Day shipping is not available on products shipped from outside the United States.

    Prices

    The Apple Store endeavors to offer you competitive prices on current Apple products and selected Sale and Apple Certified Reconditioned products. Your total order price will include the price of the product (on the day of shipping) plus any applicable sales tax and shipping charges. Apple reserves the right to change prices for products displayed at the Apple Store at any time.

    Should Apple reduce its price on any shipped product within 14 calendar days of shipment, you may contact Apple Store Customer Service at 1-800-676-2775 to request a refund or credit of the difference between the price you were charged and the current selling price. To receive the refund or credit you must contact Apple within 14 calendar days of the price change.

    Product Availability

    Order lead time is the length of time it will take us to validate your credit card, assemble the right products and package your order. Shipping time is the length of time it will take for the package to travel from our warehouse to your shipping address.

    Apple makes every effort to ship your product according to the estimated lead times provided by the Apple Store at checkout. The estimated lead times are in business days (Monday through Friday) excluding Federal Reserve holidays. Lead times will begin the following business day for orders placed and credit cleared after 2 p.m. PST. Lead times quoted on the checkout page are for orders that are partially shipped - meaning items ship as soon as they are available. If you have requested a complete shipment, please add 3-4 additional days for transportation and order consolidation processing.

    Although every effort is made to ship your order according to the lead time provided, shipping dates may change due to changes in supply. If the lead time changes, Apple will contact you via email and provide a revised shipping estimate.

    Given the popularity of some products, Apple may restrict the number of such items that you may purchase. Any product limit restrictions will be posted on the Apple Store website. This information is subject to change.

    Product Warranty

    All Apple hardware products, including clearance and refurbished products, carry a one-year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. You may review a copy of the Limited Warranty on new products, including its limitations and exclusions, before you purchase, by clicking the appropriate link below.

    Your use of Apple-branded software is on the terms of the license in effect for the software at the time of purchase.     Audit Rights

    Apple routinely audits the purchases of customers at the Apple Store for Education to insure that only eligible purchases have ordered and that all purchase conditions have been observed. Should an audit disclose after delivery (or should Apple otherwise discover) that you were not an eligible purchaser at the time you placed your order or that you have not observed all of the conditions applicable to your purchase, you authorize Apple:

    • If you placed your order by credit card, to charge to your credit card the difference between the amount you paid for the delivered goods and the price that Apple charged the general public for the same goods at the Apple Store, in effect on the date that you placed your order; and
    • If you paid by a means other than credit card, to (a) invoice you for the difference between the amount that you paid for the delivered goods and the price that Apple charged the general public for the same goods at the Apple Store, payable in fifteen days from the date of the invoice, and (b), should you fail to pay the invoice when due, institute legal action against you in a court of competent jurisdiction, with the prevailing party entitled to attorneys' fees.
    • Should Apple not offer to the general public the specific products that you purchased at the Apple Store for Education, your credit card will be charged or you will be invoiced the difference between the amount you paid for the delivered goods and the price that Apple charged the general public for the closest equivalent goods at the Apple Store, in effect on the date that you placed your order.
